This module aims to develop students’ awareness of the importance of integrating ICT tools in teaching and learning. It presents students with how learning technologies can be used in education and explains why. There are many resources and technologies available that can be used to improve learning outcomes. Technology brings potential benefits to education, but it must be used appropriately. Additionally, this module helps students to experiment with the different applications and open educational resources available on the web and use them to create educational and pedagogical learning scenarios. Finally, students will be introduced to different learning platforms and taught how to use them for teaching and learning.
We use blended learning as a pedagogical strategy to teach in this module and where presence and distance alternate harmoniously towards the fulfillment of the course objectives.
